Daegu, South Korea - Day 1

I can't believe I made it to where Veronica wanted me to meet her. Thankfully Koreans are very helpful. The streets are so clean. It's cold as hell (I really shouldn't be saying this as a Canadian but as a spoiled Thai I am well justified).

oh Korean American Apparel, how did I work at you for so long? Doesn't seem like much has changed.

I've never been on a plane with so many kids. Pretty much non stop crying from some cute asian baby for the entire 5 hour flight.

Ang Sila Temple, Chonburi

I went to this Chinese temple very close to my house today. I used my sweet Johh S. Hipstamatic lens and, shit, I should have taken more pictures but most places in the temple you weren't allowed to or I was off daydreaming without my camera. Enjoy!

Wat Khao Sukim, Chanthaburi

This huge temple is located on top of a mountain. You had to ride up a pretty long lift to get to it. I decided to hike the way down...big mistake haha.
The temple houses a large collection of religious items and valuable antiques donated by the public.
It was mega wow, especially the view from the rooftop.

Khao San Road, Bangkok

I can't believe I made it out of this place alive.
There were buckets of booze everywhere. Literally, I drank out of a bucket.
It was really weird seeing that many westerners.
I will be back, Khao San Rd. but I probably won't remember anything next time either...

Khao San Road
It's true.
Fyi 50B is $1.70, 80B is $2.50 and 200B is $6.50 HA

Turtle Island, Thailand

I went swimming & (learnt to) scuba dive on this little island called Koh Tao (aka Turtle Island) near Rayong.

All day on a boat, beers for days, new friends, turtles turtles turtles, and Thai food...

p.s. funny story of the day: I actually went on the WRONG boat to get to this island. I went onto a private boat that this group had rented. They spoke this southern Thai dialect that I had a hard time figuring out so I couldn't communicate with them. Once we got to the island I asked to use one of their cellphones but they ALL refused. At one point they thought I was the tour guide and seemed pissed I wasn't explaining things and starting offering me money. After about half an hour of being on the island and wondering what the hell I was going to do, Tanya (seen below) came running through the woods carrying beers and many laughs & apologies.

I like collecting stuff into little categorical boxes that live on the internet.
I like cats of all kinds, simple shapes, tea, basement shows, concept albums, colouring books, Tom Waits' voice, swimming, manifesting, visualizing, traveling. I don't like people who make me feel tired.
I want to be inspired and I want this blog to remind me how to get there.
Take what you will.
